Our Mission Statement
As a student-run organization at the University of Delaware, the Biology Graduate Student Association (BGSA) aims to provide guidance to incoming and current Biology graduate students. Through social and professional initiatives, we facilitate networking between current graduate students, alumni, and potential employers. In doing so, we work to enhance the scientific community at the University of Delaware, build a more collaborative academic environment, and ensure that students are prepared to find employment upon graduation.
Meet Our Executive Team
Kent Kwah
President
Kent is a 4th year PhD/MBA student in the lab of Dr. Aimee Jaramillo-Lambert. His current research is on the role of two meiosis-related genes(oops-1 and F07A5.2) in C. elegans that interact with spe-1, an essential protein in meiosis. He spends his free time trying to stay active and being social. His favorite activities include basketball, tennis, volleyball (basically most sports) and Latin dancing.
